Challenge

The Holiday Inn Dakota Bar and Grill was famously once part-owned by David Coulthard. When the venue was rebranded to Holiday Inn, it needed help to ensure that the strong brand of the Dakota Bar and Grill remained prominent in the minds of patrons.

Solution

The hotel, restaurant and venue asked us to put together an intensive regional PR campaign to project its quality food and drink offer to the local market to increase local business at the weekends and corporate sales. We set to work by arranging lots of reviews, seeking out features in local regional and national magazines, looking to focus on the venue’s proximity to Sherwood Forest and the Peaks as well as its fine gastronomic standards.

Results

As well as achieving lots of regional press coverage, excellent reviews and more bums on seats, we managed to link Holiday Inn Dakota to the Jermaine Jenas’ charity Aquinas – which saw the star visit. We also helped to arrange events such as a PA afternoon, which led to several substantial corporate bookings for the venue.
